Singapore's Presidential poll
No contest for Singapore's Presidential poll, only SR Nathan eligible. Singapore President S.R. Nathan has won a fresh six-year term after election officials over the weekend disqualified all potential challengers, depriving voters of a chance to elect their head of state for the first time in 12 years. It was Nathan's second walkover victory since 1999, the result of strict requirements for presidential candidates in the city-state. This walkover mean we dun need to vote, this oso mean we dun get extra public holiday. Haiz... Although Singapore is small, does it mean there is no people eligible to be president??? Anyway who be president oso doesn't matter. As long as he/she can provide peace and bright future for the people of Singapore.

13 years to 10 years
With the SAF's transformation to the Third Generation SAF (3G SAF) as well as the surge in National Servicemen resource over the next 10 years, MINDEF had announced the reduction of Full-time National Service from 2½ years to 2 years on 15 June 2004. This was implemented in December 2004. MINDEF has since completed its review of the National Service Training System (NSTS) for Operationally Ready National Servicemen (ORNS). In the revised NSTS, National Servicemen will normally serve only 10 years of In-Camp Training (ICT), instead of the current 13 year system consisting of 10 years of ICT followed by three years of Basic Individual Training (BIT). This will take effect from 1 April 2006. WOW... 3 years lesser is a lot!!! Think this is the best news for the month. As age is catching up and work commitment, it is sometime so unwillingly to go back for ICT. Years down the road, when set up family, it will be even more difficult. So now wif 3 years deduction, I think all NSmen muz be laughing inside. Whahaha... Thank Mr Teo...

Its Saturday
This afternoon meet Sally for movie. Actually we wanna watch "The Maid", but heard tat the show dun seem to be nice. So we dun wanna take the risk and we choose to watch "Bewitched". The show was not too bad, I cannot say its really good. I rate it 5 out of 10. After the show we went to Taka, as she wanna exchange something tat she bought the other day. Lucky she manage to do the exchange, as she already open up the things. She suppose to go to a BBQ at East Coast, but in the end she decided not to go. So we went to find places for dinner, then we came to "Pepper Lunch". Pepper Lunch origin from Japan, and its have more than 130 outlets spread over Japan. Korea and Taiwan oso have their outlets, now it is in Singapore. There are 2 outlets, Takashimaya and Isetan Scotts. They operate like fast food restaurant, but the food will serve to your table. They serve mostly beef, there is only few menu tat serve chicken. So those who dun take beef is restricted to 1 menu. The food are serve on an iron hot plate, you will have to sort of cook it yourself. You can add soy sauce to your vegetable and stir the meat over to cook. I have no complain on the food, juz tat the prices is a bit too expensive. The funny part is the prices shown are not inclusive of GST. All fast food restaurant prices are included of GST. Maybe they think they are not fast food restaurant bah. Whahaha... After our dinner, we went to Sony Gallery to get a tape recorder for my mum.

Fireworks 2005
Yesterday night went home straight after work, than meet up with Wiliam, Carlyn, Denise and friend to see fireworks. Before tat we went to Marina Square to have our dinner first. We went there to have "Qiu Lian Ban Mian." I feel tat is one of the best Ban Mian in Town. Do u agree??? Those who haven try before can give it a try. I strongly recommend!!! By doing this I dun get any commission. Whahaha... After our dinner, we head to a pub at Marina South where the Marnia Carnival was held to chilled out. Tat is a KTV pub, so we get to sing. But oso din sing much lah, cos each table has to take turn to sing. At the same time we wait for the fireworks. When the clock struck 12am, the fireworks display begin. Though its not the best spot, but at least we dun need to squeeze wif the crowd. Din manage to take any good shot. The whole display last for abt 15mins. HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!
